Exit Velocity
The speed of the baseball as it comes off the bat immediately after contact.
Launch Angle
Angle the ball leaves the bat relative to the ground.
Hit Direction
The direction, plotted on a baseball diamond, that an in-play ball takes in flight.
Spin Rate
The rate the ball spins after contact, measured in rotations per minute (RPM).
Spin Direction
The tilt of the baseball from the contact point, measured in degrees.

Setting the tank at the correct distance is crucial and needs to be measured every time the unit is assembled. The physical setup never changes. The HITTING 2.0 must be situated 14 feet from the front of home plate to the front edge of the tank (closest to home plate).
The HITTING 2.0 camera monitor needs to be situated at the proper angles inside the tank. These angles will be colored green if they are correct. We have two degrees of wiggle room for the ideal HITTING 2.0 angles of 20 and 90 degrees.
• Tee: 0 mph
• Soft Toss: Roughly 35 mph or slower
• Live/BP: Roughly 35 mph or faster
The HITTING 2.0 has a velocity threshold of 40 mph for baseball and 35 mph for softball. This means that any hits slower than this will not record data.

Best practice is to sync all data to the Cloud once the coach is done using the HITTING 2.0 for the day. All of the data, new players, videos, etc. will be stored locally on the Diamond App until the sync is complete. To initiate the syncing process, press the ‘spinning arrows’ icon that can be found on the “Home”, “Play”, “Team”, and “Settings” tabs at the bottom of your screen. Progress can be monitored by navigating to the “Upload Progress” tab in Diamond App Settings.
The HITTING 2.0 RCE can be charged during use with an extension cord or powerbank. Powerbanks serve as a portable charger, and can be requested by contacting support@rapsodo.com. The RCE will not actively charge the HITTING 2.0 monitor during use, but will maintain its battery life and prevent it from dying mid-session.
Trigger-no data and incorrect data is most commonly caused by incorrect setup, sunlight, ugly balls (smudges, scuffs, etc.), not using correct balls, and light directly facing the unit.
No-triggers are most commonly caused by active AC units, ceiling/floor fans, heaters, and/or competing radars in the environment.
This is most commonly caused by faulty micro-USB cables or loose ports on the Hitting 2.0 camera monitor/RCE. We can ship out replacement micro-USB cables to customers, as well as repair broken monitor/RCE ports in our office. Please contact support@rapsodo.com for more details.
In this situation, reconfiguring Wi-Fi channels will change the pathway that the Rapsodo-generated Wi-Fi takes from the RCE to the iPad:
1. Navigate to the Diamond App “Play” screen.
2. Select “Devices” in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.
3. Select “RCE” and then “Channel”.
4. Once under “Channel”, select any of the available numbers to switch Wi-Fi channels.
5. Once selected, you will be informed of needing to restart the unit and reconnect the device in your Wi-Fi settings.
Note: It can sometimes take 2-3 tries to find a stable connection.
